Why We Partnered

The Small Enterprise Education and Promotion (SEEP) Network promotes learning among micro-enterprise and microfinance practitioners worldwide. SEEP’s members are active in more than 180 countries and reach more than 23 million micro-entrepreneurs and their families. SEEP’s Practitioner Learning Program (PLP) provides an incubator environment for intensive, small-group learning and experimentation among its members.

The youth microfinance PLP, funded by the Foundation, will improve the availability of relevant financial products and services to young people. Four partners will be selected through a competitive process and will receive funding to test new approaches. Lessons learned will be integrated into the youth microfinance curriculum being developed by Making Cents International and broadly disseminated through SEEP’s publications.

Anticipated impact

  • Create new approaches to delivering financial products and services to young people
